In tha art of medecine single medecine is made compaind medecine.
For example: Moajeen syrup similarly , sometimes we separate the compound medecinein the part for example : maghaz. Tukham kaddu , Beekh, Kahoo, or taking out oil from Almendsor getting hiquid or water from baadam mint rose keera or Baid Mashaq Getting some particular imgredients from plants animals and under-earth things some bushes or weeds are burny to get salt etc. Perfumes are got from fragrant things. Sticky liquid or kafoor is got from trees. Getting clear water from barg kasni, barg makku green or barg tarb. The art of medecine has also many other things of this kind. So we should be careful in this regard art of medecine has two parts:
1: A big and particular medecine making.
2: A smau or sinple medecine making.
A Particular Medecine making
In this method, we are told the prescription of medecine making by the makers for exmple: Purifying Araq or feying of johar or making syrup etc.
It is abuious that this type medecine cqan not be prepared at once according to your desired whsh. Thevefor such medecines are kept in store in great quantity. And it is given to patient accerding to need after measuring the desired quantity.
A Small or partial medecine making
It means simple and easy acts which the maker has to perform according to the prescription by the quack. For exmple: measuring araq and syrup and then pouring it into a little bottle upto desired quantity. It also involves pouring araq, syrup or sikanjbenn in to a little bottle and handing over the medecine after marking. Some medecine are given after pressing hardly or peeling them.
Importance of the art of medecine-making and characteristics of a medecine maker.
Whether the medecine is of great quantity or of low quantity , it is a thing of great respensibility. If a medecine maker does not give the medecine to the patient according to relegien or prescribed amount by the quac, It may harmful to the patient instead of giving him benefits. Rather, sometimes giving medecine ignorantly may cause the death of the patient. Therefore, the medecine-maker and the quack must be educated. Who may understand a better way. He should know whether the medecine is single or compaend. He should also know about the quantity of medecine its rules and principles and should be practically aware of their needs and uses.
Besides the about menticened qualities, the medecine maker should be noble and honest person who should know the value of life and have bear of God. He should treat the patient kindly. He should also be fond of cleanliness.
It is not the nly thing included in the duties of medecine seller the he should give the medecine to the patient as the doctor or quack has prescribed it, rather he should also make the patient understand about the usage of the medecine because if the does so the patients, lives can be expired for some medecines are to take and some are to apply on the skin.
Acts in the art of making medecine
A medecine maker generally faces the following things: (Cutting)
Sometimes words roots or bark are to be cut before shaping them to the desired medecine. For example chob, sugar,
Pressing and trauping
Sometimes fruits, flowers leaves barks and wooods are cut to get ‘Joshands’ so that their ingreeliants may dissolue easily. Such medecine are written as Neem Kafta in prescription.
For exmple :
Asal Alsoos , Neem Kofta Baadian Neem Kofta similary fresh and green weeds are pressed in some pot so that we may get their juice. Medecines are also pressed to thim them. Now a days machines are being used to press medecine and human labour is saved and big tasks can be dene in a short span of time.
Thining down
Sometimes medecine are thinned which are likely impossible to be cracked and then these medecines are used in compounds. For exmple:
‘Burada Abnoos’ ‘Sandal’ ‘Dandanfeel’
Besida tree medecines and animal medecines, some other medecines are also thinned.
Grinding Process
Medecines are ground in machines and on the machines which grind hard things like stone or glass Now-a-days big machines are also awailable to grind hard medecines within secends. Grinding dried medecines in called ‘Safoof’ in Arabic and grinding in machine is called ‘Tahan’
Purifying Process
It is done through a thin net to separate fat ingredients from the thin ones.
As silk suits are with different holes , so are the thin net whe ther made by hair or by some other matirial , are different in holes. These nets are classified according to the size of these holes sometimes ternide and apricot like things are cleaned in cloth or thin nets for this they are depressed from upper side by thin and storng wires.
Tesweel
It is also an act of “Tasfia” by which materials like nud and stones which cannot be solved in water are extracted for this the safoof is mixed in water and the heavy undisslved things dissolved but the light things do not dissolve and fleat in water and this they are filtered and thin things go with water while heavy ones remain settled in the bottom of the containes And then these things are throun away and if they are heavy pieces of medecine then they are grinded and are again mixed in water to extract impurities from them. Those medecines which are obtained by this method have thin particler this process is done very carefully. And is refeated again and again to extract the settled ingridients at the bottom.
Tarweeq
It is a sort of cleaning. It is done when the “syaal” is dissolved with a non munmal thing which is caught in the net and the munmal ingridients pass through it the thing which is cleaned by this process is ‘Murawaq’ For example:
‘Aab-kanse murawaq’ and green murawaq ect sometimes instead of cloth paper which have pores in them are used for this process. It is called ‘Radoqa’ in which this process is used.
The other way of tarwaq is that ot we take a big pot a hole in it - the hole should be covered by a cloth. The ingridients should be filled in the jar and the dissalved particles of the ingridients with the water may be passed and used as a medecine.
Tasfia
It is such a process in whichhoney or fat like substances are melt and after melting they are cleansed this process is similar to the “Tarsheekh - o – Tarweeq”
